Automated fire suppression system using water - sprinkler system
The sprinkler system is one of the most effective fire suppression systems.
It is a stable automated fire suppression system using sprinkling water beam under pressure. In normal conditions,
before activation there are closed nozzles that open at a certain temperature and the automated fire suppression
starts. Pipe network in the system is under constant water or air pressure. Fire suppression is performed using limited
number of nozzles depending on fire spread speed. Along with the fire suprression, on nozzle activation a fire
alarm is activated using hydraulic alarm bell.
Wet type sprinkler system
Sprinklers are filled with water under a constant pressure in all protected areas. The constant pressure of the
water in the system is maintained by a supplemental pump, Jockey type. At the start of a fire and a significant
rise of temperature, the glass ampule on the sprinkler cracks and water discharges from the sprinkler. Consequently,
the pressure above the control and alarm valves in the system drops. At the time of pressure drop the control and
alarm valve open and the acoustic signaling (water motor gong) activates. At the same time a warning signal is sent
to the room of a constant service.
Dry type sprinkler installation
Dry sprinkler installation is full with compressed air. The constant pressure in the installation is maintained
by a compressor. At the start of a fire and a significant rise of temperature the glass ampule on the sprinkler
cracks and the air is released from the sprinkler installation, after which the water starts to discharge.
Consequently, the pressure above the control and alarm valves in the system drops. At the time of pressure drop
the control and alarm valve open and the acoustic signaling (water motor gong) activates. At the same time a
warning signal is sent to the room of a constant service.
